Eilís O Baoill

Art Procurement Manager of South Eastern Health Trust

"It was our aim to achieve the integration of art in the Renal Unit, right into the bed bays where patients receive their treatment. With the help of Belfast Print Workshop we were able to put into practice the plan to incorporate two dimensional artworks chosen by the staff and patients themselves. The prints by local artists working to subjects compatible with the theme of " water and movement" were compiled by BPW from works by their members. An important part of the selection process for these works was bringing actual artworks to the patients and staff themselves to make choices and Belfast Print Workshop were most accommodating of this process, even to supplying the folio.”

"We are very pleased with the results. Due to pressure of time in our build programme for the Renal Unit, smaller and more intimate artworks for the ward areas and along general corridors were not commissioned but chosen from existing works through the Belfast Print Workshop. We found BPW to be very efficient and professional, and very helpful and would certainly consider working with them again, both to purchase works or even to assist us in commissioning smaller works in future"

“Belfast Print Workshop is one of Northern Ireland’s key resources for the corporate and public collector – a vibrant platform for local and visiting artists working in the whole range of contemporary and traditional printmaking techniques. The collective spirit of the enterprise and the dynamic staff make for an informed and immersive experience in the selection and acquisition of work by established and emerging artists.”

Alan Scott

Northern Bank

“Northern Bank's parent company Danske Bank has a strong interest in artwork and recognises the positive contribution quality visual art can bring to our customer experience when visiting one of our branches or finance centres. Since becoming part of Danske Bank Group in 2005, Northern Bank has introduced contemporary art prints into all of our properties. Most of the prints have to date been sourced and supplied from Denmark but more recently we have had an opportunity to consider work that is sourced locally from the Belfast Print Workshop. The Gallery presented an impressive range of original works and we have purchased numerous prints produced in the workshop. The workshop provided an excellent service, supporting me with a comprehensive " one stop service" - from initial viewing to fitting of the final selected prints on site. I look forward continuing our business with the workshop - ensuring that our staff and customers have an opportunity to see and enjoy local artwork in their local bank.”
